Kiko Precision Lip Pencil & Ultra Glossy Lipstick First Impressions/Review

Over the past few days Ive been in and out of town just browsing around and I picked up a few new bits of makeup. As they’re items that I haven’t used before I thought I’d share with you all my initial thoughts and impressions of the products!

Kiko’s Precision Lip Pencil

Before this I didn’t own a completely matte nude lip pencil which is why I thought to buy it. As you may know I love to wear my NARS Cruising lipstick but as I never wear it with a base I’m constantly reapplying it throughout the day and it uses up quickly😰!

As it is really matte it is really good to get an exact line (hence the name precision lip pencil lolllll). So I really liked applying it to my lips without having to correct any of it. With a lot of matte lip pencils it makes your lips feel really stiff and quite dry but I wore this all day and I didn’t feel like my lips had dried out by the end of the day.

It has really good staying power and lasted well underneath my Kiko Ultra Glossy Lipstick and at Β£4.20 I didn’t feel like I was breaking the bank nor did I feel like I was getting an absolute steal. I think the price is pretty average and a fair price for it.

Overall I am happy with this purchase. I did think it would be a little lighter when testing it on my hand in the shop but all-in-all I am very happy with it!

Kiko Ultra Glossy Lipstick

Shade I bought (801)

At first I was super happy with this purchase but looking back I kinda wish I had gone for a more matte lipstick as I already use my NARS Cruising nude lipstick a lot, which has a gloss to it, so can’t really see myself using this one too much instead.

I did really like the feel on my lips and I only had to reapply maybe twice throughout the day so super happy with that.

I think Β£4.90 for the product is a reasonable price and I would definetely be comfortable buying a different shade for this price.

Overall I wish I hadn’t bought this purely because right now I don’t really need another glossy nude lipstick (what am I saying? a girl can never have enough nudes?!!). This has nothing to do with the actual product and I would go back and purchase another shade from the ultra glossy range. But I just feel I bought this purely because I was buying a new lipliner and thought it needed a companion to come home with.. but now it may just get a bit neglected in my makeup box.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts on them! 😊
